Role Overview
You will work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple government agencies and external partners to define product strategy, develop roadmaps and deliver impactful digital products.
The role requires a strong understanding of user needs, technical constraints and design considerations, enabling you to act as a bridge between business, technology and users.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Own a product or feature area and drive its success from concept through launch and continuous improvement.
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap.
- Align cross-functional teams around long-term product objectives.
- Define North Star metrics and success measures to ensure products deliver tangible public value.
Product Analytics & Decision-Making
- Operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
- Make informed product decisions and prioritisation choices using data and evidence.
- Evaluate product features based on user research, market trends and internal feedback.
- Use data to validate assumptions, test ideas and determine when products or features should be refined or pivoted.
- Identify and mitigate product, technical and market risks.
Execution & Delivery
- Work closely with software engineers, data scientists and UX designers to deliver high-quality products.
- Balance delivery speed, product quality and simplicity.
- Drive agile product development and continuous improvement.
- Manage short-term delivery priorities while considering long-term scalability and technical debt.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key liaison between business leaders, government agencies, operational partners and technology companies.
- Work with stakeholders such as the Singapore Police Force (SPF), Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and global technology platforms.
- Facilitate Whole-of-Government (WOG) alignment across stakeholders.
- Navigate differing priorities and disagreements constructively.
- Translate complex technical and business requirements into clear product priorities and actions.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Take ownership of broad and ambiguously scoped projects.
- Lead complex workstreams independently from problem definition through execution.
- Synthesise complex information and data into clear strategic recommendations.
- Proactively identify opportunities and drive initiatives forward.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to improving overall team capability and productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Product Management, with demonstrated ability to independently own products, features or complex projects.
- Strong track record of managing end-to-end product delivery, particularly in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.
- Strong analytical and product intuition, with the ability to make data-informed decisions.
- Ability to identify and manage risks from both technical and market perspectives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong sense of ownership and willingness to identify opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Comfortable taking calculated risks, experimenting and learning from both successes and failures.
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support teammates, challenge existing approaches constructively and share knowledge openly.
