Full description

1. Product Strategy and Planning:

Responsible for product strategy development, roadmap planning, and version management for intelligent cockpit domains, including central control display, instrument cluster, passenger screen, rear seat screen, and IoT devices.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis (traditional OEMs, new EV players, and consumer electronics companies) to track industry technology trends (e.g., OLED, Mini LED, LCD, curved screens, HUD, multi-display interaction).

Identify market opportunities, define product differentiation and core value propositions, and write Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Product Requirement Documents (PRD).

2. User Research and Requirement Definition:

Through customer interviews, user surveys, data analysis, and usability testing, deeply explore pain points, usage scenarios, and emotional needs of in-car users (drivers and passengers).

Define user experience goals and core features (e.g., UI/UX, multimodal interaction, voice assistant, ecosystem apps, scene modes) and prioritise requirements.

Create user stories, flowcharts, and low-fidelity prototypes to clearly communicate requirements to design and development teams.

Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the final product meets the original definition and quality standards.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Act as the product interface, effectively communicating and collaborating with internal teams (sales, marketing, procurement, quality, manufacturing) and external partners (chip suppliers, Tier1s, ecosystem and content providers).

Support supplier technical evaluation and selection by providing product requirements and participating in feasibility reviews alongside system engineers and hardware architects.

Work with the marketing team to develop go-to-market strategies, pricing, marketing materials, and sales training content.

Support customer BD activities: Collaborate with the sales and customer success teams to engage with OEM engineering and product teams, gather technical requirements, and present product solutions. (Strategic alignment with OEM decision-makers is led by the Product Line Director or Customer Director.)

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields.

Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in automotive intelligent cockpits, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), or consumer electronics (mobile/tablet/smart hardware) display/interaction products. Proven experience in launching at least one complete product lifecycle.

User-centric mindset: Excellent user empathy and research skills, with a strong passion for user experience.

Technical understanding: Familiarity with key intelligent cockpit technologies (e.g., SOC, Android Automotive/QNX/Linux, display technologies, voice recognition) – enough to collaborate effectively with engineering, not to design or implement.

Business thinking: Strong market analysis, business planning, and data-driven decision-making abilities.

Collaboration: Excellent cross-functional communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have, not mandatory)

Experience with multi-display interaction, AR-HUD, or cockpit-driving integration.

Basic understanding of automotive hardware development processes or AEC-Q standards.

A strong curiosity and learning ability for cutting-edge technologies in automotive and consumer electronics.
