Overview

L2T is seeking a hands-on Senior Solutions Architect to design, build, deploy, and support integrated network and software solutions. This role connects network hardware, Linux infrastructure, web services, application integrations, and automation into reliable systems that customers can deploy and operate.

You will translate customer requirements into practical architectures, implement solutions alongside the engineering team, and support them throughout their operational lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong networking fundamentals with systems engineering experience, practical coding skills, and a commitment to improving reliability, performance, and deployment efficiency.

Candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design integrated solutions spanning network infrastructure, Linux servers, containerized applications, web services, and software interfaces.
  • Translate customer and operational requirements into architecture diagrams, implementation plans, configuration standards, and technical documentation.
  • Deploy, configure, integrate, and troubleshoot Juniper, Cisco, and Opengear hardware.
  • Build and operate Linux servers, including service configuration, patching, access controls, monitoring, backups, and recovery.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, service integrations, deployment tools, and application enhancements within the existing software stack.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, device configuration, validation, and maintenance using Python, infrastructure as code, and configuration management tools.
  • Deploy and support web services and APIs; diagnose issues across application, container, operating system, and network layers.
  • Use modern development tools to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation while independently reviewing and validating changes.
  • Establish repeatable deployment procedures, configuration baselines, rollback plans, and operational runbooks.
  • Work with customers, vendors, and internal engineers to resolve technical issues and turn operational feedback into engineering improvements.
  • Evaluate technology options that balance security, reliability, performance, maintainability, and cost.
  • Share technical knowledge and help teammates strengthen engineering and support practices.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Demonstrated ownership of infrastructure projects from requirements and design through implementation, documentation, and support.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting Juniper and Cisco network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of routing, switching, network segmentation, IP addressing, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
  • Practical Linux administration experience, preferably with RHEL or comparable enterprise distributions.
  • Python scripting or comparable programming experience, familiarity with Git, and experience automating infrastructure tasks.
  • Experience deploying or supporting containerized applications using Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or comparable technologies.
  • Ability to read, modify, test, and maintain code supporting application services, integrations, or operational tooling.
  • Working understanding of web services, APIs, service connectivity, authentication, and application troubleshooting.
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly and collaborate across engineering, operations, security, and customer teams.
  • Relevant engineering or computing degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance, with the ability to maintain required access.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with BGP, MPLS, SRv6, EVPN, IPsec VPNs, and hybrid connectivity.
  • AWS infrastructure experience, including EKS/Kubernetes and provisioning with Terraform.
  • Network automation and source-of-truth platforms such as Netbox, including IPAM, DCIM, or configuration management workflows.
  • RHEL Satellite, SaltStack, or comparable configuration management and deployment tools.
  • Opengear deployment and remote infrastructure management experience.
  • Experience integrating APIs and automating workflows between infrastructure platforms and web applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code review, and release management.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools, including validating generated code, troubleshooting recommendations, and documentation.
  • Storage, replication, backup, and recovery experience, including ZFS or comparable technologies.
  • Experience delivering measurable infrastructure cost, performance, or reliability improvements.
