Junior Data Analyst

Location: Remote, within the United States Type: Full-Time

Who We Are

Nimbis Designs is a boutique software consulting firm of about 20 people, helping organizations streamline and scale through better systems, smarter automation, and thoughtful technical design. As a small and nimble team, we collaborate closely, move quickly, and give every team member meaningful ownership in their work.

Our work spans everything from CRM implementations to custom integrations, data pipelines, and advanced reporting, primarily using the Zoho suite of applications. As a Zoho Premium Partner, we’re recognized by Zoho for our deep product expertise and proven success implementing and optimizing the platform for clients.

We operate as a remote-first company, headquartered in Wilmington, DE, with a core group based nearby and additional teammates distributed throughout the country. If you enjoy learning fast, solving real business problems, and working with evolving technology in a constantly changing landscape, you’ll feel right at home here.

What You’ll Do

As a Junior Data Analyst, you’ll grow your technical and analytical skills while contributing directly to both client projects and internal tools. You’ll work across reporting, data modeling, system migrations, and analytics development.

You will:

  • Gather, clarify, and document business and technical requirements, asking sharp questions to understand the “why,” not just the “what.”
  • Build reports and dashboards using Zoho Analytics, Power BI, and other similar tools.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries, and clean, transform, and prepare datasets for analysis or system integration.
  • Validate data quality and identify anomalies, missing information, or logic inconsistencies across systems.
  • Create entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), system maps, and architecture documentation using tools like Lucidchart.
  • Produce clear deliverables such as screen-share walkthroughs or brief documentation to support client understanding and internal collaboration.

This is a highly hands-on, learning-focused role, ideal for someone early in their analytics career who wants broad exposure, real responsibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on a small, high-performing team.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We value curiosity, problem-solving, and a strong ownership mindset. What matters most is how you think, how you learn, and your drive to tackle challenges.

  • Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets).
  • Basic SQL ability: querying data, joining tables, filtering, aggregating, and a desire to level up.
  • Familiarity with or interest in Analytics tools (Zoho Analytics, Power BI)
  • Clear communication skills: you can explain your thinking, ask questions early, and collaborate well.
  • A detail-oriented, self-driven mindset with comfort juggling multiple projects.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with data cleaning or ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with R or Python.
  • Understanding of basic statistics or machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with the Zoho ecosystem.

If you don’t check every box but feel excited about the role, we still encourage you to apply.

Benefits

Benefits & Perks:

  • Competitive salary (anticipated range: $50K–$75K; final compensation depends on geography and experience)
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off (vacation, sick, and holidays)
  • 401(k) with company match (up to 4%)
  • Monthly internet reimbursement allowance
  • Fully remote work environment
  • Flexible hours with a set schedule and core daytime availability
  • Mentorship, training, and professional growth opportunities
