Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the AWS Search, Security, and Observability (SSO) Finance team. This role will own end to end finance support including P&L management and planning for AWS SSO services. Additionally, this role will drive strategic new SSO feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities - Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance - Owning the services end to end of revenue creation, and influence business decisions that drive pipeline creation and realization - Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations - Partner with finance, business, and sales teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) - 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience - 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications: - 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of Tableau - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
