Full description

  • Performs and implements day-to-day development activities that influence mid‑level components and processes within the mobile engineering function, including designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin/Java and Android SDK.
  • Develops, enhances, and maintains Android application features in an agile development environment, following best practices for clean architecture, performance optimization, and secure coding.
  • Evolves Android software solutions that meet product requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, usability, and delivery timelines, while adhering to defined program goals and engineering principles.
  • Analyzes and reviews system and application requirements, using requirement and design documentation to gain a clear understanding of new or enhanced Android application functionality.
  • Participates in the design, architecture, and build phases of Android applications, collaborating with solution architects, backend engineers, UX/UI designers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality mobile products.
  • Evaluates compatibility of Android applications across different OS versions, device configurations, screen sizes, and hardware capabilities.
  • Contributes to improving CI/CD processes for Android builds, testing, versioning, and Play Store releases, including monitoring pre‑release, upgrade, and production versions of applications.
  • Develops and maintains reusable components, libraries, and modules following Android architectural patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar.
  • Reviews, updates, and manages sprint tasks, stories, and defect tracking in agile tools such as Jira or equivalent platforms.
  • Maintains and supports existing Android applications while developing new functionalities, enhancements, prototypes, and internal tools as required.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves application defects, crashes, performance bottlenecks, and functional issues in a timely manner.
  • Determines root causes of technical issues and prepares accurate technical documentation and communication to support efficient resolution and long-term fixes.
  • Gathers required technical and status information and communicates updates effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinates cross‑functionally with product managers, backend teams, designers, QA engineers, and external partners to accomplish assigned development tasks.
  • Provides recommendations on Android application architecture, frameworks, tools, libraries, and development process improvements.
  • May contribute to defining and implementing mobile development standards, best practices, and protocols supporting Android ecosystem requirements.
