The Senior Financial Analyst is an integral part of companywide financial analysis, planning, and forecasting. Responsibilities may include partnering with various business stakeholders to prepare short-term and long-term financial planning and/or financial analysis of business operations and property level performance based upon focus area. Prepares, collects, tracks, validates, and interprets financial information; creates and maintains budgets, reports, forecasts and conducts financial and operational analyses. Supports program and project implementation and makes significant contributions to departmental goals and planning efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for examining, analyzing, and interpreting internal operational data from various data sources to create and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual operational metrics reports.
  • Prepares supporting materials and analyses for the company’s public reporting and investor communications, including SEC filings, investor presentations, earnings materials, and other supplemental disclosures.
  • Performs ad hoc financial and business analyses to support strategic decision-making, including trend analysis, forecasting, scenario modeling and other special projects as assigned.
  • Builds, maintains, and enhances financial and operational reporting dashboards using business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Extracts, manipulates, and analyzes large datasets using data tools (e.g., excel, SQL, etc.) to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related field
  • Real Estate industry/REIT experience preferred
  • Experience with SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and developing automated reports and dashboards from large, complex datasets preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Basic understanding of GAAP accounting and financial statements
  • Basic understanding of SOX compliance
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with knowledge of Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred
  • Strong analytical and data management skills, including the ability to gather, validate, and interpret large volumes of financial and operational data from multiple sources
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and other functions
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer, quality, and results orientation

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $89,739.00 to $110,000.00 Annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
