Job Description:

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced iOS Mobile Developer with strong backend expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building native iOS applications while collaborating with backend teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKi
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate mobile applications with backend microservices
  • Develop and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
  • Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver business solutions
  • Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture reviews
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues across mobile and backend platforms
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automation processes for application deployment
  • Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in iOS application development
  • Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Xcode
  • 7+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices development
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and Agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of asynchronous programming, multithreading, and mobile performance optimization
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
  • Ownership mindset with a focus on quality and delivery

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of Kafka, event-driven architectures, and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Experience with mobile security, authentication, and authorization frameworks
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, monitoring, and observability platforms
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale mobile applications with large user bases
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role

Pay range

$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
