Cybersecurity Engineer Team LeadThe Opportunity:

As the COMSEC Lead, you will be responsible for managing the organization’s communications security program, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing incidents, delivering training, and serving as the primary liaison with authorities.

What You'll Work On:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Communications Security (COMSEC) program, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive COMSEC training and awareness initiatives to promote a culture of security across the enterprise.
  • Manage and respond to COMSEC incidents and breaches, applying analytical and problem-solving skills to mitigate risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the relevant authorities to ensure effective communication and compliance.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with CNSSI No. 4005 and other applicable regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of evolving standards.
  • Attend COMSEC and TACLANE training post-award, maintaining proficiency in communication security technologies, protocols, and practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to advance security objectives and resolve complex challenge.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in information security or telecommunications security
  • Experience in communication security technologies, protocols, and practices, such as type-1 and type-2 encryptors and managing cryptographic materials
  • Experience with leadership such as leading teams, managing projects, and program management
  • Experience in communication security, network security, and encryption principles
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Telecommunications
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Security+ Certification

  • Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address security incidents, vulnerabilities, and complex cybersecurity program challenges
  • Master’s degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
