Position Summary:

Job Description:

As a Cloud Data Architect, you will manage and support our cloud data infrastructure, focusing on Snowflake. You will design and implement data ingestion pipelines, data models, and new data source integrations. Your role includes maintaining current operations, addressing outages, and supporting automated data extract distributions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet their data needs. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Manage and support Snowflake data warehouse infrastructure. 
  • Maintain and optimize data ingestion pipelines and models. 
  • Design and implement new data source ingestions and models. 
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of data infrastructure. 
  • Resolve data infrastructure outages. 
  • Support automated data extract distributions from Snowflake. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data needs. 
  • Continuously monitor and optimize data system performance. 
  • Collaborate on the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans. 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture and processes. 
  • Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for complex data issues.  

To excel in this role, you should possess:  

  • Required: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 
  • 3+ years in data architecture or engineering. 
  • Extensive experience with Snowflake. 
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and integration. 
  • Proven experience managing cloud-based data infrastructures. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex data issues. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. 
  • Technical skills: APIs, ETL tools (Apache, Talend, Informatica), scripting (Python, Java, Scala, Bash, Powershell), DevOps (Terraform/CloudFormation), Azure DevOps. 
  • Preferred: 
  • Certifications in Snowflake or related technologies. 
  • Experience with DBT or Alation. 
  • Familiarity with data analytics and BI tools.
