About the Role
As Senior Product Manager, ClinicalKey Nursing, you are a strategic, technically savvy product manager with experience building platform or ecosystem products. You will report to the Vice President of Product and lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of key capabilities within Elsevier's enterprise nursing workspace. You excel at connecting products into seamless customer experiences, influencing across multiple product teams, and translating customer workflows into clear product strategy and specifications. You are a strong collaborator, an exceptional communicator, and comfortable working closely with engineering, UX, and AI-assisted development teams.
In this role, you will play a key role in Elsevier's AI-first product development approach as you identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve discoverability, and introduce shared capabilities that strengthen the overall experience without disrupting the unique strengths of each individual product.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the VP Product and other product leaders on strategic vision, informed by customer research, product analytics, and market insights.
- Create and execute a roadmap to create a cohesive and intuitive experience across multiple products, in partnership with other product managers across the nursing portfolio.
- Define platform capabilities that improve navigation, discoverability, personalization, administration, reporting, and overall usability across the Nursing ecosystem.
- Prototype and validate cross-product concepts quickly, using customer feedback, AI-assisted tools, and iterative experimentation to refine product direction before development.
- Collaborate with engineering and platform product managers to define platform architecture, including APIs, authentication, shared services, and modular user interfaces that enable products to work together effectively.
- Lead AI-first, spec-driven product development by translating customer needs, workflows, and business objectives into clear product specifications that guide design, engineering, testing, and delivery.
- Partner closely with engineering, UX, and AI development teams to iteratively refine specifications, validate assumptions through rapid experimentation, and ensure solutions meet customer needs before implementation.
- Serve as an advocate for nursing customers, ensuring product decisions reflect real-world workflows and customer needs.
- Use customer insights, product analytics, and market trends to prioritize investments and guide roadmap decisions.
- Partner with UX, engineering, clinical, commercial, and content teams to deliver high-quality, scalable experiences that ensure alignment with customer needs, product excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful market delivery.
- Define success metrics and continuously evaluate ecosystem performance to proactively improve adoption, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience delivering customer-facing SaaS or enterprise software products, with 8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience building or managing platform products, integrated product experiences, or enterprise software ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically across multiple products while balancing customer needs, technical considerations, and business priorities.
- Strong technical acumen, including experience working with APIs, integrations, authentication, and modern application architectures.
- Exceptional customer discovery and user research skills, with a passion for understanding customer workflows and translating insights into product strategy.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and build alignment across multiple product organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using product metrics and customer insights to drive decision making.
- Strong understanding of healthcare technology, clinical workflows, learning platforms, or education technology is a plus.
- Experience working within AI-assisted software development environments, using structured specifications to guide engineering, testing, and delivery is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline. Experience in healthcare technology, enterprise software, or education technology is preferred. Masters degree in technical subject (Computer Science or Engineering discipline) is strongly preferred, but not essential.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $115,400 - $192,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
