Job Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to shape the next generation of our end to end AI proposal platform, from problem discovery through to polished interfaces. You’ll work across UX and UI, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to define how users collaborate with AI in their day‑to‑day workflows. This is a hands‑on role with room to grow into more strategic ownership as you demonstrate impact.
📍This role is preferably based in the Northern Virginia/DC Metro GovCon corridor, including Tysons, Reston, Herndon, Chantilly, Arlington, Fairfax, and the surrounding DC market. NYC may be considered for an otherwise exceptional candidate. Travel should be oriented primarily toward customer facing meetings, with periodic travel to the Midtown NYC office as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Turn problems into product: Partner with Product and Engineering to define user problems, explore solution spaces, and translate them into clear flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Design AI‑assisted workflows: Craft interaction patterns that help users co‑write with AI, feel in control, and understand what the system is doing and why.
- End‑to‑end journeys: Take features from discovery to final UI, iterating through research, testing, and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Elevate craft and consistency: Contribute to and evolve our design system so experiences feel coherent, accessible, and visually refined.
- Advocate for users: Run or support research and usability sessions with customers and internal users; bring insights back into product decisions.
- Collaborate to ship: Work closely with engineers on implementation details, edge cases, and QA to ensure what we ship matches the intent of the design.
What You’ll Bring
- Solid experience as a Senior Product Designer working on B2B Enterprise web‑based SaaS products.
- A portfolio that shows strong UX thinking, clear problem framing, and high‑quality, production‑ready UI for complex, multi-step workflows — you've designed for products where users navigate intricate processes, multiple user types, or high-stakes decisions.
- Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with modern design and prototyping practices.
- An unrelenting focus on usability.
- Comfort working in a fast‑moving environment, breaking down complex workflows into simple, usable experiences.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain your decisions, collaborate openly, and give and receive feedback.
- Genuine interest in how AI can augment human work, and curiosity about designing for AI‑driven experiences.
- Exposure to AI‑powered products (e.g. generative AI assistants, copilots, recommendations) and the nuances of designing for trust and explainability.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and designing for diverse users.
Nice To Haves
- Experience designing for highly regulated, Federal or GovCon products.
- A solid understanding of the proposal management lifecycle.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 basic salary (depending on experience and location), plus opportunities for variable attainment, depending on specific experience and qualifications relevant to the role.
- Stock Options: Meaningful equity in the company.
- Comprehensive medical/dental/life insurance: Insurance coverage for individuals and families partially paid by the company as well as opportunity to participate in pre-tax health Flexible Spending Account.
- Retirement Plan: Ability to invest your pre-tax dollars in a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
- Paid Time Off: Unlimited vacation (Yes, you read right!)
- Flexible Work Options: Hybrid, with a preference for candidates based in the Northern Virginia/DC Metro GovCon corridor. DC travel oriented to customer meetings, with periodic travel to the New York City office as needed.
- Paid parental leave: 12 weeks if you’ve just given birth, 4 weeks if your partner has just given birth (after one year of year of service)
- Additional Perks: Your choice of laptop (Mac or Windows), regular company events to connect with teammates, and opportunities for continued professional development.
Values in Action:
These aren’t just principles we print and forget – they’re how we work, how we treat each other, and how we deliver for our customers. They shape the company we are, and the one we aspire to become.
- Customers, Always: Everything starts with our customers. We walk in their shoes, speak their language, and build for their delight and success. We win when they win.
- Make It Happen: We move fast and take ownership. No waiting, no red tape – just action, urgency, and focus on outcomes. We ask for forgiveness, not permission.
- Learn and Invent: We stay curious. We learn what we can from past masters - and make up the rest. Change is constant, and so is our growth.
- Act Like Owners: Titles don’t solve problems - people do. We own challenges, break the rules when it’s necessary, and focus on what matters.
- Turn It Up to 11: There is no “Good enough”. We raise the bar, push boundaries, and keep building. There’s always a next level.
- Lead With Respect: We listen first, speak honestly, and value every perspective. Integrity, follow-through, and kindness matter.
- Build Trust Through Transparency: We default to openness. We give feedback, share information, and assume positive intent - no secrets, no silos.
