This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Network Administrator based in United States.

This is a mission-critical infrastructure role supporting large-scale enterprise networks in a highly secure government environment. You will help ensure the stability, security, availability, and performance of complex network systems supporting continuous operations. The role combines advanced network administration, incident response, troubleshooting, security compliance, and technical leadership. You will work with technologies including enterprise routing and switching, firewalls, load balancers, and other critical network services. The environment is fast-paced and operates around the clock, requiring strong technical judgment and the ability to respond effectively to high-impact incidents. You will collaborate with government and mission partners while contributing to engineering initiatives, automation, and enterprise planning. This is also an opportunity to mentor junior administrators and take on alternate team leadership responsibilities while working on systems with significant national-security impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as an Alternate Network Team Lead and provide technical leadership within an enterprise network operations environment.
  • Maintain the stability, security, availability, and efficient operation of large-scale Army and Department of Defense enterprise network environments.
  • Perform advanced administration, monitoring, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical network infrastructure and services.
  • Manage and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and associated enterprise networking technologies.
  • Lead high-impact incident response activities, troubleshoot complex network issues, and coordinate restoration efforts to minimize operational disruption.
  • Maintain and secure network boundary protection systems in accordance with applicable Department of Defense and Army cybersecurity requirements.
  • Collaborate with mission partners and external organizations to resolve technical issues and support enterprise network operations.
  • Contribute to network automation and engineering initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, network configurations, and operational procedures while ensuring compliance with security mandates.
  • Participate in enterprise planning sessions, technical reviews, engineering activities, and other initiatives supporting continuous infrastructure improvement.
  • Mentor junior network administrators and contribute to their technical development and professional growth.
  • Support global maintenance windows, after-hours activities, and a 24/7/365 operational environment as required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant network administration or enterprise infrastructure experience.
  • Technical training, professional certification, or a relevant degree.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Department of Defense or Army enterprise networking environments.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise routing and switching, including protocols and technologies such as OSPF, BGP, and VRRP/HSRP.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or comparable networking and security platforms used in large enterprise environments.
  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, including DISA STIGs, RMF, and ACAS.
  • A qualifying DoD 8140-aligned certification, such as Security+, CASP, SecurityX, or CCNA.
  • Networking certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIA, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP, or CCNP are preferred.
  • Current Top Secret/SCI clearance, or Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and mission partners.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-tempo, mission-critical 24/7 environment.
  • Flexibility to support global maintenance windows and after-hours operational requirements.
  • Ability to work remotely, onsite, or in a hybrid arrangement depending on mission needs.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • $85,000–$115,000 estimated annual salary range, with actual compensation determined by experience, geographic location, and applicable contractual requirements.
