QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in Python, Pytest, SQL/Database testing, API testing, and Power BI testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing automation frameworks, validating data and APIs, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of reporting dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Pytest.

• Perform API testing for REST APIs, including functional, integration, regression, and negative testing.

• Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.

• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems, databases, APIs, and reporting layers.

• Test Power BI dashboards and reports, including data accuracy, filters, calculations, visualizations, and report-level functionality.

• Identify, document, and track defects and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.

• Participate in test planning, execution, and automation framework improvements.

• Collaborate with development, data engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure quality.

• Contribute to improving test coverage and automation efficiency.

Mandatory Skills:

• Python

• Strong understanding of QA processes, test cases, defect lifecycle, and SDLC/STLC

Nice to Have

• Selenium or Playwright

• Experience with UI automation

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines

• Exposure to Git/GitHub

• Experience with data validation or ETL testing

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
