Description -
Job Summary
The Senior Manager, NPI Operations ensures HP’s creative and marketing engine runs smoothly at scale. You’ll lead and grow the team responsible for the operational backbone of New Product Introduction within Creative Services — setting the direction, standards, and systems that keep NPI workflows accurate, predictable, and ready for launch. In this role, you guide the people who keep projects moving, remove blockers before they slow teams down, and build the operational structure that keeps stakeholders aligned across NPI, Marketing, Creative Services, and system owners. You shape how NPI operations work today and how they evolve for tomorrow.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operational Direction
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of NPI Operations PMs, ensuring clarity in roles, expectations, and growth paths.
- Set the operational direction for NPI workflows, including standards, templates, governance, and quality expectations.
- Oversee staffing, workload balancing, and team rhythms to ensure consistent delivery across a high‑volume workflow environment.
- Build a culture grounded in accuracy, accountability, collaboration, and proactive problem‑solving.
NPI Workflow Strategy & Execution
- Own the end‑to‑end operational strategy for NPI setup in Workfront, ensuring workflows scale across product lines, configurations, and release cycles.
- Ensure operational requirements are met with precision — from SKU‑level setup to metadata accuracy and DAM readiness.
- Oversee dashboards, reporting, and operational visibility that help partners make informed decisions and stay ahead of risks.
- Identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities to improve speed, accuracy, and predictability.
System Governance & Operational Standards
- Set and maintain governance for Workfront workflows, templates, routing, metadata, and permissions.
- Partner with Martech system owners to ensure NPI operational needs are supported and future‑ready.
- Establish and maintain SOPs that support consistency, scale, and cross‑functional clarity.
Escalation Leadership & Issue Resolution
- Lead resolution of complex operational issues, coordinating across NPI, Marketing, Creative Services, and system owners.
- Anticipate risks and remove blockers before they impact timelines or asset readiness.
- Identify recurring issues and drive improvements to workflows, templates, or system behavior.
Cross‑Functional Alignment & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a senior operational partner to NPI leads, Marketing teams, and system owners — ensuring alignment on timelines, requirements, and dependencies.
- Communicate operational status, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively.
- Represent NPI Operations in cross‑functional planning, readiness reviews, and workflow design discussions.
Operational Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Shape operational plans that support NPI and Creative Services goals, including resource planning, workflow improvements, and readiness initiatives.
- Lead improvements to templates, routing, reporting, and governance that strengthen operational reliability.
- Contribute to future‑state operational design, ensuring NPI workflows evolve alongside HP’s creative and marketing transformation.
Talent Management
- Perform talent management responsibilities including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Build a strong, engaged team that thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Operations, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Typically 10+ years of experience in creative operations, marketing operations, production operations, or workflow management.
- 8–10 years of people management experience preferred.
