Job Responsibilities

Project Planning

  • Work with all internal and external stakeholders to establish project objectives, statement of work, scope and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, critical path/milestones, resource allocation, budgets etc.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks by evaluating market conditions with regards to labor, material, and equipment
  • Preparation method statements, risk assessment, preventive maintenance schedule

Project Execution

  • Conduct and coordinate design, quotation preparation, pre-construction, partnering, contractors and other stakeholders’ meetings.
  • Ensure vendor’s entry permits, permit-to-work, risk assessment etc. are in order.
  • Maintain furnish logs on behalf of the management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders, supervise, and manage daily work activities on-site.
  • Manage project budget, progress payment, implementation scope and timeline.

Project Monitoring and Control

  • Monitor project progress and make necessary reports and/or records to ensure smooth, safe and successful project delivery ensuring high quality landscape maintenance standards are achieved.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental, pest control, health and safety regulations.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet stipulated quality standards.
  • Manage the Testing & Commissioning program, periodic and/or final inspection, acceptance test etc.
  • Manage discrepancies, punch list and defects management that occur throughout project phases.
  • Conduct timely inspections and verify contractors Review contractor’s safety plan and risk assessments etc.

Project Closure

  • Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and within the budget.
  • Ensure that as-build documents are in order.
  • Establish and conduct trainings for end-users as necessary.
  • Document project learnings and best practices
  • Transfer project deliverables to stakeholders with necessary documentation.

Maintenance

  • Develop and implement landscape and pest control maintenance plans for operational readiness
  • Supervise routine maintenance activities including pruning, fertilization, irrigation, potted plants, pest management
  • Ensure compliance and sustainable responsible practices are adopted
  • Ensure site is detailed and high aesthetic standards

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Diploma/Degree in Landscape architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Facilities Project Management, Construction or other relevant fields will be considered.
  • Certified ISA Arborist/ CPH Certified Practitioner Horticulturist will be an added advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experiences in the similar capacity.
  • Experience in managing contractors and operations in large-scale or premium environments e.g. integrated resorts, hotel, commercial development preferred.
  • Good knowledge of trees/shrubs species

Other Prerequisites

  • Possess with good communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Good command in English and ability to work under pressure.
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to work in a fast paced hospitality environment
  • Able to work on shifts or weekends or emergency if needed.
  • Exposure to weather and physical outdoor environment
