About the Role

This is a high-ownership infrastructure role at an early-stage AI-native B2B SaaS company serving enterprise retail brands. You will architect, build, and maintain the cloud systems that underpin a production AI platform, working closely with backend and ML engineers to keep everything secure, scalable, and reliably fast. Your work directly enables the engineering team to move quickly without compromising stability.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Terragrunt).
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, converting manual processes into automated, repeatable workflows.
  • Own production reliability: set up observability stacks, define SLI/SLOs, and lead incident response.
  • Champion GitOps workflows for all infrastructure deployments.
  • Build compliance-ready infrastructure (SOC 2, GDPR) with strong IAM practices and secrets management.
  • Optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability at scale.
  • Create developer tooling and documentation that accelerates engineering workflows across the team.
  • Mentor teammates on DevOps best practices and help shape infrastructure strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience, owning infrastructure end-to-end across compute, networking, storage, and observability.
  • Expert-level, production-active Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred) within the last 12 months.
  • Proven experience building and managing AWS infrastructure for B2B SaaS products.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Terraform and/or Terragrunt.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines end-to-end.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Prometheus, the ELK stack, or Datadog.
  • Background working at VC-backed startups or mid-sized tech companies (not exclusively large enterprises).
  • No visa sponsorship is available for this role.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $160,000 to $200,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

On-site in New York, NY, United States.
