About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst, AVP to join the Application Services team. The candidate will work closely with the Product Manager, engineering, architecture, QA, implementation and operations teams, to define and deliver Azure cloud-native shared application services. Application Services will serve as a shared platform layer across cloud applications and will focus on building common capabilities like central configurations, exception monitoring, and user notifications. Application services will support multi-tenancy, UI-based administration, auditability, reporting, and operational controls.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of business analysis or product analysis experience, preferably in enterprise financial technology and cloud platform environments.

This role requires a hybrid work model - at least 3 days in the office per week.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Product Manager to define the product vision, roadmap priorities, functional scope, and delivery outcomes for Application Services.
  • Understand the Charles River product offerings and work with application teams to understand their needs and convert them into business requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and document details business and functional requirements for Azure cloud-native shared application services used by multiple cloud applications.
  • Translate platform requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data model considerations, UI workflows, reporting requirements, and support documentation.
  • Work with engineering and architecture teams to clarify integration patterns, Azure platform considerations, security requirements, operational monitoring needs, and how each Application Services capability will be consumed by applications.
  • Define UI requirements for configurations management, exception monitoring and user notifications
  • Partner with QA to define test scenarios for configuration changes, tenant-specific behavior, environment promotion, permission handling, regression testing, and end-to-end application consumption.
  • Support migration planning from existing application-level or environment-specific configuration models into the new centralized cloud service.
  • Assist implementation, support, and operations teams with rollout readiness, troubleshooting, defect triage, root-cause analysis, release notes, training materials, and production support procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding scope, risks, dependencies, open questions, design decisions, trade-offs, and delivery progress.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst or similar role supporting enterprise software, platform services, financial technology, or cloud-based applications.
  • BS degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, or a related technical or quantitative field.
  • Experience working closely with Product Managers or Product Owners to shape scope, refine backlogs, document requirements, and support delivery of product capabilities.
  • Exposure to cloud-native application concepts, preferably Microsoft Azure, including services, APIs, identity and access control, monitoring, notifications, exception handling, operational support, deployment practices, and cloud migration considerations.
  • Working knowledge of multi-tenancy concepts, including tenant isolation, tenant-specific configuration, shared services, entitlement models, data separation, and operational support across tenants.
  • Ability to document clear user journeys, process flows, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, reporting requirements, and support procedures.
  • Experience defining requirements for enterprise UI capabilities such as configuration screens, administration workflows, dashboards, validation rules, audit history, comparison views, and role-based access.
  • Experience supporting requirements for exception monitoring, user notifications, operational metrics, reporting, audit history, status reporting, alerting needs, and usage visibility.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to decompose complex platform requirements, identify gaps, validate assumptions, and reconcile business needs with technical constraints.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to work across Product Management, engineering, architecture, QA, implementation, operations, support, and application teams.
  • Comfortable working in Agile Scrum delivery teams, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, story writing, demos, prioritization discussions, dependency management, and release readiness.
  • Ability to support testing, UAT, defect triage, production issue analysis, rollout planning, operational readiness, and post-release support.
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, enterprise platforms, SQL, data models, or integration workflows is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, observability, feature flags, secrets management, or cloud security concepts is a plus.
  • Financial services, investment management, or enterprise application experience is preferred, especially where configuration, controls, auditability, exception management, notifications, tenant onboarding, or shared platform services are important.
  • Ability to independently ramp up on complex workflows, ask thoughtful questions, drive clarity, and move requirements from discovery through delivery.

Minimum Salary:​

zł182 004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
