JOB PURPOSE

A Senior Software Architect provides engineering and architectural oversight of our brokerage applications and accelerate the development of innovative transportation industry products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct system design activities and review of application module specifications, classes, objects, methods, and other software components.
  • Ensure that architectural solutions meet technical and functional requirements.
  • Mentor development teams to develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical enterprise architecture.
  • Ensure code quality, proper use of patterns, and best practices.
  • Review and break-down feature request epics to determine the level of effort and sub-tasks.
  • Take part in the recruiting of new team members.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Understanding of microservices, micro frontends, and REST APIs.
  • Extensive knowledge of Agile software development processes.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise architectures, architectural styles, and design patterns.
  • Understanding of full-stack coding methodologies and programming languages.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

SCHEDULING

This is a full-time benefit eligible role. M-F 8:00am-5:00pm Eastern time.

TRAVEL

Occasional travel (less than twice a year) to conferences or other offices may be required for this position.
