Building Automation Systems (BAS) Assistant Project Manager

Location / Territory: Primarily onsite at Southeast Wisconsin data center projects

Role Summary

The BAS Assistant Project Manager supports planning and execution of building automation and temperature-control projects. The position works closely with project leadership, engineering, field technicians, vendors and customers while developing toward broader project-management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support BAS project planning and execution.
  • Coordinate project schedules and field activities.
  • Review drawings, specifications and controls sequences.
  • Coordinate material procurement and deliveries.
  • Track equipment and project documentation.
  • Prepare and track RFIs and submittals.
  • Assist with change-order documentation.
  • Track budgets, costs and labor.
  • Coordinate field technicians, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Support commissioning, startup and turnover.
  • Assist with punch lists and project closeout.

Required Qualifications

  • Construction/project coordination experience or relevant education.
  • Strong organization and time management.
  • Ability to read construction drawings/specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work regularly onsite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BAS or HVAC controls experience.
  • Mechanical/electrical construction background.
  • Bluebeam experience.
  • Project procurement/documentation experience.
  • Construction Management or Engineering degree.
