Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage construction and interior fit-out projects in Guinea, West Africa.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overall project planning, execution, coordination, quality, cost, schedule, manpower, and client communication, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within the agreed timeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and oversee construction and interior fit-out projects from start to completion.
- Develop project schedules, work plans, and manpower requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Supervise Project Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and budgets.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project documentation.
- Coordinate civil, architectural, finishing, electrical, plumbing, and other site activities.
- Monitor material requirements, procurement, deliveries, and site resources.
- Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure proper quality control and site inspection procedures are followed.
- Monitor project costs and minimize unnecessary wastage and delays.
- Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and site procedures.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure timely completion and successful handover of the project.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant construction/project management experience.
- Proven experience managing residential, commercial, building, or interior fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, and site management.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades including civil, finishing, electrical, and plumbing works.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to manage project schedules, resources, budgets, and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical documents.
- Strong knowledge of quality and safety requirements.
- GCC, African, or international construction experience will be an advantage.
- Willingness to relocate and work in Guinea, West Africa.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with experience in large residential projects, villas, commercial buildings, hotels, or interior fit-out projects will be preferred.
