We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects in Oroville, CA. This position is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining schedules, budgets, quality standards, and strong working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from planning through completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field teams, architects, and owners
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Lead project meetings and provide progress updates
- Track costs, billing, procurement, and project documentation
- Identify and resolve schedule, cost, and construction issues
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements
- Support project closeout, punch lists, and final documentation
Minimum 3 years of Project Manager experience in commercial construction
Strong knowledge of construction schedules, budgets, contracts, and project documentation
Experience with ground-up construction, sitework, public works, or DSA projects is preferred
Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple priorities effectively
Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with construction management, scheduling, and Microsoft Office software
Must be local to Oroville or the surrounding area to be considered
Employment may be offered as either contract-to-hire or direct hire, depending on the candidate’s experience and the client’s needs.
- Contract-to-Hire: The selected candidate will initially work through Essel before potentially converting to the client’s permanent team. Benefits during the contract period may differ from those offered after conversion.
- Direct Hire: The selected candidate will join the client’s permanent team immediately and may become eligible for the company’s benefits package based on its eligibility requirements and waiting periods.
