This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Dedicated Sr Cloud Network Engineer based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to provide expert-level, customer-facing support across complex cloud network environments. You will take ownership of critical networking systems, troubleshooting incidents and driving resolution within defined service levels. The position combines hands-on engineering with network security, virtualization, monitoring, documentation, and change management. You will work across enterprise-scale, highly available infrastructure supporting mission-critical customer environments. The role also provides opportunities to collaborate with architects, deployment engineers, service teams, and customers on complex network designs. Success requires strong technical judgment, independent ownership, and the ability to communicate sophisticated solutions clearly. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by strengthening documentation, processes, reliability, and technical capabilities.

Accountabilities
- Take complete ownership and accountability for assigned cloud networking responsibilities, ensuring reliable and effective customer support.
- Lead complex network troubleshooting during incidents and drive issues to resolution within established SLA commitments.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide timely support for critical infrastructure events.
- Triage incidents, service requests, and change tickets for enterprise cloud infrastructure and disaster recovery customers.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot switches, firewalls, load balancers, IPsec VPNs, WANs, and related networking technologies.
- Implement and maintain network security hardware and software while enforcing established security policies and controls.
- Plan and execute network changes associated with incidents, customer requests, lifecycle activities, implementations, and decommissioning projects, including changes scheduled outside normal business hours.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including knowledge-base content, network diagrams, custom reports, platform-specific build and support documentation, and Customer Design Requirements.
- Support the preparation of detailed Service Incident Reports, including root-cause analysis and preventative recommendations for high- and critical-severity incidents.
- Provide overflow support for cloud services deployment engineering and expert-level guidance to network solution architects on customer network designs.
- Stay current with networking and infrastructure technologies, particularly within Cisco, F5, and VMware ecosystems, while pursuing relevant advanced certifications.
- Follow established service-management practices and collaborate effectively with engineering, support, architecture, and other internal teams.
- Handle company and customer information responsibly in accordance with data-handling requirements, privacy practices, security procedures, and compliance policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve support processes, network reliability, documentation, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 10+ years of recent, hands-on experience as a Cisco-based network engineer supporting complex enterprise environments.
- Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification with demonstrated professional experience.
- Extensive experience supporting and implementing global data center environments and enterprise-scale, highly available, mission-critical network infrastructure.
- Strong experience with VMware virtualization clusters and software-defined networking, including VMware NSX.
- Expert-level experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASA/ASR, and F5 LTM, APM, and ASM platforms, combined with advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
- Expert knowledge of internet routing protocols, particularly BGP and OSPF.
- Experience with additional networking technologies such as Citrix, FortiGate, NetScaler, SonicWall, and Juniper is preferred.
- Experience in consulting or other enterprise customer-facing technical support environments is highly desirable.
- Senior-level experience designing network architectures and developing network topologies for diverse and complex environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues, recommendations, and solutions clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and consistently drive assigned tasks toward positive outcomes.
- High energy, professional judgment, positive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to continued technical growth.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
