Lead the Future of Manufacturing
Kutol Products Company, a fourth-generation family-owned manufacturer of high quality skin care products is seeking a strategic and hands-on Plant Engineer to lead the reliability, automation, and modernization of our manufacturing operation.
This is a new leadership role responsible for driving equipment reliability, advancing factory automation, leading capital projects, and developing the systems and teams that keep our operation running safely, efficiently, and compliantly. Working closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership, we are seeking a high impact performer to modernize our equipment and processes in support of our continued business growth.
Driving Reliability & Plant Performance
- Own the reliability and lifecycle management of manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
- Build and execute strategies that improve equipment uptime, asset utilization, and maintenance effectiveness.
- Develop and deploy a total productive maintenance system, while leading preventative and corrective maintenance initiatives.
- Implement data-driven problem-solving methodologies including root cause analysis and reliability engineering tools.
Leading Automation & Capital Projects
- Develop and execute manufacturing automation initiatives that improve efficiency, consistency, and operational flexibility.
- Create and maintain the facility engineering and automation roadmap.
- Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning, including equipment upgrades, robotics implementation, and facility expansion projects.
- Manage project budgets, contractors, schedules, and technical execution while ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety requirements.
Improving Capacity, Efficiency & Quality
- Partner with Manufacturing to improve throughput, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Evaluate production capacity and identify investments needed to support future growth.
- Use performance metrics and operational data to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Quality to support validation activities and ensure equipment consistently meets quality standards.
Developing Teams & Building Capability
- Manage engineering, maintenance, and facilities upkeep across the plant.
- Establish clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Coach and develop team members through training, feedback, and succession planning.
- Foster a collaborative "One-Operation" culture across multiple shifts.
Ensuring Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Maintain readiness for FDA, OSHA, EPA, Health Canada, and other regulatory audits.
- Champion workplace safety, risk reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure contractors and vendors meet site safety and compliance expectations.
- Promote strong housekeeping, facility standards, and disciplined operational practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Five or more years of progressive plant engineering experience in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading automation, capital projects, and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of productive maintenance systems, reliability engineering, root cause analysis, industrial utilities, controls, and project management.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence cross-functional partners.
- Exposure to ERP, QMS, CMMS, manufacturing execution, and productivity management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting equipment qualification, validation, and regulatory compliance.
