Brief Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager for our Paper Machine Engineered Parts & Solutions Team. In this role, you will provide product and service solutions to customers in the paper and tissue industry and lead strategic planning to expand target product market share. The role will focus on strategically driven business growth, value selling and pricing, and will require product expertise, service sourcing/development, and parts sourcing. The role includes technical and selling leadership skills, including an ongoing analysis of the Andritz market position in each of these areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the profitability and growth of the Engineered Parts and Solutions product line
- Promote solutions for customer needs
- Ensure the efficient execution of inquiries and orders
- Provide technical and commercial direction to the sales force; develop proposals, product costing, and pricing
- Manage production & purchasing decisions with a focus on the competitive impact and profitability
- Maintain annual budget and develop strategic solutions with other product groups
- Maintain an understanding of the market and competitor landscape and craft a strategy to grow market share in target products and markets
- Develop marketing and promotion strategies
- Contribute to research & development
Qualifications (Required)
- Post-Secondary level education, in paper technology, engineering, automation, technology, or similar
- 3+ years technical sales, service and/or product management experience
- Experience in the pulp and paper industry is preferred.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in the field both independently and with Service Technicians
- Have a service mindset and customer focus
- Self-motivated, able to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities
- Familiarity with Office 365 products
- Basic working knowledge AutoCAD is advantageous
- Familiarity with SAP is advantageous
- Additional spoken languages such as French, is a benefit
