We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own Reporting, Dashboarding & Financial Statements — the shared, governed capabilities that produce financial statements and analytical reporting for fund structures across the business. Rather than building bespoke reporting solutions team-by-team, this role exists to define and deliver reusable capabilities — financial statement production, dashboarding and analytics, and audit-defensible reporting standards — that scale safely across the business.
This is a hybrid role: you will lead and develop a team spanning reporting specialists and product/data talent, while staying close to the detail — the accounting standards, the metrics, and the audit trail that underpin every report. You will work closely with GPs, internal finance stakeholders and Engineering to ensure the capabilities you own meet the bar for accuracy, defensibility and usability that fund reporting demands.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting & dashboarding strategy & roadmap
- Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for financial statement production, dashboarding and analytical reporting capabilities across fund structures.
- Prioritise the backlog against reuse potential, regulatory obligation, and impact across dependent product teams.
- Build reusable, governed reporting and dashboarding capabilities that other teams can adopt, rather than one-off solutions built per team.
Financial statement production
- Maintain solid understanding of financial statement production and relevant accounting and reporting standards — such as US GAAP and IFRS — as they apply to fund structures.
- Own the requirements that ensure financial statements are produced accurately, consistently and in line with the standards that apply across jurisdictions and fund types.
Dashboarding & analytics
- Build and evolve analytical and dashboarding capabilities — aggregation, drill-down and financial metrics — comparable to light asset-management tooling.
- Define the information design and self-service experience for reporting consumers, from summary views to detailed drill-down.
Audit & regulatory defensibility
- Own the audit and regulatory defensibility requirements for financial reporting, ensuring every report is traceable, well-documented and stands up to scrutiny.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance and internal finance stakeholders to keep reporting capabilities aligned with evolving regulatory expectations.
Team leadership
- Manage and develop a team spanning reporting specialists and product/data talent, blending domain expertise with product and technical capability.
- Set clear priorities and ways of working for the team, using disciplined, agile delivery approaches.
Cross-functional influence
- Act as the product lead for reporting and dashboarding capabilities in a matrixed organization, influencing GPs, internal finance stakeholders and Engineering who do not report into this role.
- Partner with vertical product teams to understand their reporting needs and translate them into shared capabilities rather than bespoke solutions.
- Represent the roadmap and trade-offs clearly to technology leadership and stakeholders across the business.
YOUR PROFILE:
- 10+ years of product management experience, with a blended background across financial reporting and data/analytics products.
- Solid understanding of financial statement production and relevant accounting/reporting standards (e.g. US GAAP/IFRS) for fund structures.
- Experience building or evolving analytical/dashboarding capabilities: aggregation, drill-down and financial metrics, comparable to light asset-management tooling.
- Ability to manage and develop a team spanning reporting specialists and product/data talent.
- Strong grasp of audit and regulatory defensibility requirements for financial reporting.
- Strong ability to influence GPs, internal finance stakeholders and Engineering within a matrixed organization.
- Experience with disciplined, agile delivery approaches.
