Explore Opportunities Today

This is the first dedicated Project Manager role within the organization. The primary focus of this role is hands-on delivery: managing enterprise and cross-functional initiatives from initiation through close. Alongside that work, this person will help introduce a consistent, corporate project management discipline, meaning practical tools, templates, and processes sized to the company's current needs, rather than standing up a formal department or office. This is an active project management role first, with an opportunity to shape how project management is practiced across the company as that discipline matures.

What This Role Owns

  • Hands-on management of enterprise and cross-functional projects from initiation through close.
  • Introduction of lightweight, consistent project management templates and processes for enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Stakeholder engagement and change management support for technology and process rollouts.
  • The track record that will inform how the project management practice, and this role, may grow over time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Project Delivery

Serve as a hands-on project manager for the company’s enterprise and cross-functional initiatives. This is the core of the role.

  • Own day-to-day management of enterprise and cross-functional initiatives from initiation through close.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource plans, and track progress against milestones.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating to the EVP when executive intervention is needed.
  • Coordinate across departments, such as Compliance, Marketing, and Accounting, etc. to keep initiatives on track.
  • Communicate project status clearly and consistently to stakeholders and executive leadership.

2. Project Management Practices & Structure

Alongside active project delivery, help introduce a consistent, corporate project management discipline for company initiatives, using lightweight tools and practices sized to the company's current needs rather than standing up a formal department.

  • Partner with the EVP to introduce basic project management structure and practices for enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Develop straightforward templates, such as project plans, status reports, and risk/issue logs, appropriate to the company's current needs.
  • Document simple, repeatable processes for how projects are initiated, tracked, and closed.
  • Recommend improvements to project intake and prioritization as initiative volume grows.
  • As the practice matures, help extend these tools and processes into broader corporate project management standards the rest of the company can use.

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

Build the relationships and habits that make a newly formalized project management practice credible and effective.

  • Build relationships with department leaders and subject matter experts to ensure the right people are engaged at the right time on each initiative.
  • Support change management activities associated with new technology or process rollouts, including communication, training coordination, and adoption tracking.
  • Facilitate project meetings, decisions, and issue resolution among cross-functional teams.
  • Help the organization build trust in a formal project management process where none has existed before.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally including experience introducing project management practices or structure within a growing organization.
  • Comfortable operating without an established playbook: able to bring structure and consistency to how projects are run, not just follow an existing process.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technology or operational projects, ideally within financial services, mortgage, or another regulated industry.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical, operational, and executive audiences.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred, not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
