Description

The Government Contracts Financial Analyst will play an important role in ensuring that EHS maintains accurate, timely, and well-documented contract financial information. The position will have primary responsibility for monitoring employee timekeeping, reviewing labor charges, tracking contract hours and costs, reconciling financial information, and maintaining supporting documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Contracts, Program Management, Payroll, and employees throughout the organization. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving discrepancies, improving processes, and making sure the details are right.

We are looking for someone who is organized, analytical, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of details.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.

- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, contracts administration, payroll, project administration, or a related area.

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to analyze financial information and identify discrepancies.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.

- Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information professionally

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with any of the following is a plus:

- Federal government contracting.

- FAR requirements or government contract accounting.

- DCAA audits or compliance.

- Timekeeping or labor-distribution systems.

- Contract financial management.

- Time-and-Materials or Cost Plus Fixed Fee contracts.

- Deltek Costpoint, Paylocity, or similar systems.

- Government contract invoicing.

- Direct and indirect cost accounting.
