POSITION SUMMARY

The Solutions Architect works out what comes next for a Salesforce Center of Innovation. You will evaluate emerging Salesforce capabilities and adjacent technologies, test whether they would actually work on this platform, and turn what you learn into recommendations leadership can act on.

This is a research and prototyping role. The rhythm is deliberate: study an opportunity, build something small that proves or disproves it, and write up the case either way. It suits an architect who enjoys open questions and can make a clear recommendation from incomplete information.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Research and Evaluate

  • Research emerging Salesforce platform capabilities, case management technologies, integration approaches, and modernization opportunities.
  • Assess new capabilities against operational value, technical feasibility, scalability, security, and long-term supportability.
  • Track the Salesforce roadmap and identify what is worth adopting and when.

Analyze and Recommend

  • Produce technology analysis reports covering operational value, technical feasibility, implementation considerations, and potential efficiencies or cost savings.
  • Run technical trade studies that compare options and document the reasoning behind the recommendation.
  • Develop solution architectures and technical options that align business needs with platform capabilities, integration constraints, security, and operational supportability.

Build Proofs of Concept

  • Design, build, and present proofs of concept that demonstrate practical improvements to the platform.
  • Scope each proof of concept so it answers a specific question and can be judged on its merits.
  • Hand successful concepts to the delivery teams with the design context they need to build for production.

Advise

  • Lead architecture analysis sessions and design workshops.
  • Provide technical decision support to leadership on modernization initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7 years of relevant experience in enterprise IT, Salesforce, or closely related technical services.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government background investigation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Salesforce Certified Data Architect or Salesforce Certified Application Architect.
  • Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or other FedRAMP environments.
  • Prior federal or public sector experience.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

This role delivers at least two comprehensive technology analysis reports each year and at least one proof of concept each quarter.

WORK LOCATION

Primarily remote within the contiguous United States. Occasional on-site support at customer facilities may be required, along with limited off-hours availability for releases, outages, and critical incidents.
