Benefits
Full description
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team and help shape where our brand is heading.
Joining at a moment of growth and change, you’ll influence the way Stride Treglown looks and communicates, bringing a contemporary perspective and compelling design ideas to everything from campaigns and digital content to publications, presentations and pitches.
Drawing on inspiration from the built environment and beyond, you’ll help turn our ideas, expertise and stories into work that feels engaging, on the pulse, and distinctly Stride Treglown.
Alongside creative projects, you’ll help make great graphic design easier to deliver consistently across the practice by developing tools and systems that help colleagues communicate the brand with confidence.
The team around you
You’ll be part of Stride Treglown’s Winning Work team (Marketing, Graphics, Events, Business Development, Bids, and Data). The team supports nine studios across the UK, 12 specialist services and 15 industry sectors.
This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week). You’ll ideally be based in our Bristol studio and we're also open to the role being based in another studio (Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Plymouth, Truro or Winchester) provided you’re able to travel to Bristol for team meetings and collaborative work.
Key Responsibilities
What you’ll do
Shape the next chapter of our brand
- Evolve our visual identity, finding new ways to express who we are and where we’re heading.
- Bring your own ideas and perspectives to the team, challenging briefs and helping shape creative approaches.
Turn ideas into campaigns
- Create digital content for social media, email, web and other marketing channels.
- Design publications, reports, events, exhibitions and other print communications.
- Collaborate on photography and film projects and help develop our motion graphics capability.
Help win new work
- Work on major private-sector bids and other client-facing materials, helping to shape the story and creative response to each opportunity.
Champion design
- Maintain templates and design systems that make it easier for colleagues to apply the brand across presentations, documents and other communications.
- Share knowledge and new ideas that help raise the quality of design across the practice.
- Provide occasional cover for the Graphics team on client-facing graphic design and wayfinding
You’d be a great fit if you:
- Have at least 3-5 years’ graphic design experience, working in an agency or in-house within a creative practice.
- Are confident using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, with experience across both print and digital formats.
- Understand brand and how to apply and evolve a visual identity.
- Have a good eye for typography, layout, composition and colour.
- Are always curious about contemporary graphic design and new creative approaches.
- Can interpret a brief and develop ideas from an initial concept through to production-ready artwork.
- Are organised and detail-focused, with a collaborative approach and the ability to manage several projects and deadlines.
Nice to have:
- Experience or interest in motion graphics, animation or video, using After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar.
- Knowledge about basic web design and content management systems such as WordPress.
- An understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
- An appreciation of how AI and emerging technologies can support the creative process.
What We Offer
- Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 (Depending on Experience)
- Paid Holiday + Bank Holidays
- Flexible and Hybrid working
- Company Pension Scheme
- Life Insurance
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- Career progression and opportunities for technical development
How to Apply: Please apply with your CV and a cover letter detailing why you are the right fit for this role.
We’d also like to see a portfolio that shows how you think as well as the quality of your work. We’re particularly interested in brand and campaign work and getting a clear sense of your creative voice. We’re interested in strong, original, and well executed design, rather than examples of work in a specific sector, so built environment industry experience is not essential.

Applicants will need to have the right to work in the UK, as this role is not eligible for sponsorship.
