IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, seeking full-time Financial Analyst in Suffolk, Virginia.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.
Job Summary
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Documents financial transactions such as, but not limited to, entering journal entries, asset records, and inventory
- Maintains prepaid dues and subscriptions schedules
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
- Reconciles general ledger and sub-ledger accounts
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls
- Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
- Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Current knowledge of computer systems, MS Office, and Spectrum is a plus.
- Attention-to-Detail skill.
- Strong communication (oral and written) and detailed organizational skills.
- Must be hands-on, self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities/projects, to collaborate, communicate, and build working relationships with all levels of employees and management.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and judgment when dealing with sensitive financial issues.
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
