Role - Principal Consultant Technology – AWS, Dev Ops, Python Location – London, UK Compensation – Competitive (including bonus)

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Lead Consultant with strong expertise in AWS Cloud, DevOps, and Python to manage and deliver customer projects at the client location. The candidate will act as a technical leader, working closely with customer stakeholders, engineering teams, and project managers to drive cloud transformation, automation, platform reliability, and operational excellence initiatives.

Your role In the role of a Principal Consultant, you will anchor the engagement effort for assignments, all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development and deployment. You will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes, deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will anchor business pursuit initiatives, client training, in-house capability building. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required

• Lead end-to-end delivery of customer projects and DevOps initiatives.
• Collaborate with customers, architects, and development teams to define and implement DevOps strategies.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop automation solutions using Python, Shell scripting, and AWS services.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Ensure platform reliability, availability, security, and performance.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Drive monitoring, logging, and observability using tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance on DevOps best practices.
• Participate in solution design reviews, release planning, and change management activities.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards.

Preferred

• 8–12+ years of IT experience with significant exposure to DevOps and Cloud technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Route53).
• Proficiency in Python programming and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.
• Knowledge of Linux administration, networking, and security best practices.
• Experience with Git, version control, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
