Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Project Control Manager to join our Capital Projects team. The successful candidate will lead the project controls function across the NGM projects portfolio, encompassing cost management, planning and scheduling, progress measurement, change management, and reporting. The role establishes and maintains the systems, processes, and standards required to provide accurate, timely, and reliable project performance data to support decision-making and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with company health, safety, and environmental standards and applicable regulatory requirements (including MSHA).
- Establish, implement, and maintain project controls procedures, systems, and standards across the projects portfolio.
- Lead the cost management function, including budgeting, forecasting, commitment tracking, accruals, and cost reporting.
- Oversee the planning and scheduling function, ensuring development and maintenance of integrated master schedules and resource-loaded execution schedules.
- Direct progress measurement and earned value management, ensuring consistent and auditable performance reporting.
- Manage the change control process, including trend identification, change evaluation, and contingency management.
- Analyze schedule and cost performance, identify variances and risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present project performance reports, dashboards, and forecasts to project and executive leadership.
- Support contract administration with quantity tracking, payment verification, and claims analysis.
- Coordinate with finance for capital reporting, cash flow forecasting, and governance requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the project controls team, including cost engineers, schedulers, and analysts.
- Support estimating activities and benchmarking for studies and new project development.
- Based in Elko, Nevada, with regular presence at project sites. Site work involves exposure to active construction and mining environments requiring adherence to site safety protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 10–12 years of project controls experience on major mining or heavy industrial capital projects, including 5+ years in a leadership role preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in cost engineering, scheduling, earned value management, and change control preferred
- Advanced proficiency with project controls tools (e.g., Primavera P6, cost management systems, Power BI or similar reporting tools) required
- Experience across both owner's team and contractor environments preferred
