PierSight is a SAR company specializing in building SAR systems tailored to a single application's requirements. SAR, as a technology, enables surveillance unaffected by weather — day or night, all year round. It's been around for decades, but most providers stretch one system across every use case at once. We don't. Our SAR systems are built to serve one use case at a time, rather than spread thin across all of them. Here are our current offerings: 1. Varuna: a SAR+AIS satellite constellation built for persistent maritime surveillance, for maritime agencies and naval operators. 2. Vidura: a SAR payload that can be mounted on drones, built for foliage-penetrating surveillance, for on-ground defense operators. Being application-specific lets us deliver superior data at a fraction of the cost. These systems are built by a team that has previously worked on SAR payloads for some of the most renowned missions like NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar Mission), Chandrayaan-2, Chandrayaan-3, RISAT series, and more.
