Role Overview
AmeriHealth Caritas is seeking a dynamic manager to join our fast-growing Member Services Salesforce Team. In this role, you will use your ‘can do attitude’, strong Salesforce technical knowledge and leadership of people management to deliver and build solutions on AmeriHealth’s Member CRM Salesforce platform. As Manager IT –Member CRM/Salesforce and a leader of Member CRM Team, you will help Salesforce ecosystems delivery in the highly challenging and rewarding Healthcare domain and be a critical part of the future of Healthcare IT at AmeriHealth Caritas.
Work Arrangement
- This is a 100% Remote position but you must live on EST or CST time zones
Responsibilities
- Manage and support Salesforce Development and Delivery team(s) through complex development effort and implementations related to Member CRM, integrations, and internally developed applications
- Responsible for understanding the portfolio of Member CRM projects and operational success measures and overseeing all technical aspects of the current applications and complex implementations
- Using an active and practical approach, the IT Manager will direct resources to accomplish the company’s strategic goals

- Minimize our investment and optimize the use of the Member CRM Salesforce
- Facilitates technical design discussions with teams and vendors
- Provide day-to-day ownership of highly complex and rapidly evolving Member CRM product on Salesforce platform
- Participate in agile development methodology to drive the outcomes
- Collaborate and engage with key IT stakeholders and business leaders in the organization regularly
- Maintains team awareness of information security requirements and scalability issues during design and development
- Provide updates to the Director and other IS and Business Leadership on progress, risks, and barriers of development efforts
- Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers, always ensuring appropriate resource allocation and output
- Contribute to the Salesforce strategic vision and roadmap for the evolution of Salesforce
- Manage an applications development team composed of full-time employees, onshore contractors, and offshore contractors to accomplish the following activities:• The design and implementation of multiple complex system integrations and Salesforce features
- Working collaboratively with architecture team to ensure that the proposed solution is aligned with enterprise architecture direction. Ensure team and solutions follow AmeriHealth SDLC practices, Standards and Enterprise Architecture guidelines
- Lead, evaluate and provide technical and architectural guidance to team members.
- Lead solution architecture for application enhancements.
- Analyzes and reduces complex problems into simple, manageable components.
- Carries out systematic problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
- Design, develop, code and test programs from specifications
- Effectively composes technical and non-technical documents such as design specifications, operation guides, process flows, and other technical schematics.
- Ensure the Salesforce solutions adherence to Salesforce COE standards
- Evaluates technical performance challenges and recommends tuning solutions.
Education and Experience
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field
- At least ten (10)+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced environment
- At least six (6)+ years of experience leading technical development teams as a development Manager or Tech-Lead
- At least six (6)+ years of experience with Salesforce and ecosystem and at least four (4)+ years of hands-on development experience
- Must have active Salesforce certifications
- Experience in Agile development methodology including product backlog, sprint backlog, user stories, continuous integration, Test Driven Development and in Agile tools
- Excellent collaborative mentality, verbal and written communication skills

- REST, SOAP, MS SQL/Oracle
Other Skills
- Experience in Healthcare Payer industry
- Salesforce Architect, Salesforce Developer II certifications
- Experience in working with Salesforce IS partners, offshore teams
- Experience in Health Cloud
- Basic knowledge of .Net
- Experience with various App Exchange products is a huge plus
