Job Summary:

The Network Engineer will remotely help maintain the operational IT infrastructure at ArchWell Health. This includes the data and voice network at our clinical centers as well as our cloud network infrastructure. This can include anything from diagnosing and fixing issues to reconfiguring the network to accept new devices. The Network Engineer will likewise have opportunities for involvement in various IT projects and center network deployments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Investigate reported network issues and diagnose root cause
  • Remotely work with onsite technicians to deploy new hardware or troubleshoot existing
  • Working with vendors as necessary to resolve issues
  • Reconfigure switchports to accommodate specific devices
  • Reconfiguring network devices according to established standards
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation
  • Remotely assist in turning-up new Internet circuits
  • Remotely assist in deploying networks at new sites
  • Configure/re-configure Azure Resource Groups
  • Complying with documented processes for standard tasks

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and common protocols
  • Working knowledge of VLANs and network segmentation
  • Ability to do independent research on unfamiliar topics
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Meraki and Cisco ASA
  • VoIP and QoS deployment and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Windows Server operating system and Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure AD
  • Familiarity with Azure NSGs, reserved instances, and public and private endpoints
  • Good communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2 to 4 Years networking experience required
  • CCNA or CCNP certification preferred
