Intermediate Salesforce Software Engineer Job Specification Employment type: Full-time Work mode: Hybrid Location: Hybrid Experience: +5 years Role Overview Support the design, development, and configuration of Salesforce solutions that align to business objectives. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and architects, the Intermediate Salesforce Software Engineer will contribute to the delivery of CRM features, integrations, and customisations while growing their engineering and platform skills across the Salesforce ecosystem. Key Responsibilities • Contribute to end-to-end Salesforce development across design, build, and deployment phases. • Develop and maintain Salesforce solutions using: ◦ Apex (classes, triggers, batch jobs) ◦ Lightning Web Components (LWC) ◦ Visualforce (where required for legacy support) ◦ SOQL / SOSL • Configure and customise Salesforce products including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud. • Build and maintain integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools. • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and senior engineers to understand and implement technical requirements. • Participate in code reviews, applying and learning best practices for security, performance, and maintainability. • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing Salesforce customisations, automations, and integrations. • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Required Skills and Experience • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience. • Working knowledge of: ◦ Apex programming (classes, triggers, asynchronous patterns) ◦ Lightning Web Components (LWC) ◦ SOQL and SOSL query writing • Experience with Salesforce automation tools including Flow, approval processes, and validation rules. • Exposure to Salesforce REST/SOAP API integrations. • Familiarity with Salesforce DX, version control, and basic deployment processes. • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development practices. • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Nice to Have • Exposure to middleware platforms (e.g. MuleSoft or similar). • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud configuration. • Familiarity with DevOps practices within a Salesforce context. • Basic understanding of Salesforce data modelling and security model.
