Full description

SAIC is seeking a TACNET CB-ISEA Network Engineer (Fleet Support) to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This hybrid-remote position requires frequent and regular onsite support aboard U.S. Navy ships. The engineer will work directly with Active Duty personnel and government staff to deliver high quality repair and technical support for Navy afloat networks. Travel within the U.S. and internationally may be required (approx. 25%), along with occasional after hours support. JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide timely patching and remediation of cybersecurity vulnerabilities to ensure the integrity and resilience of Navy afloat network systems.
  • Provide break/fix IT support in a fast paced shipboard environment and troubleshoot LAN issues to determine effective resolutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend permanent configuration or system changes when needed.
  • Deliver server and network break/fix support, including remote troubleshooting of servers, networks, desktops, and peripheral devices.
  • Participate in technical meetings, prepare progress updates, and deliver briefs and presentations as needed.
