CA is looking to hire a Power Transmission and Distribution Consulting Project Manager which would be a high visibility role set to play a pivotal part in the growth of Continuum Associates in India. The minimum industry experience required is 10 years with an excellent academic pedigree .

Primary Responsibilities - As a Power Transmission and Distribution Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of power transmission and distribution projects from initiation to completion. You will also manage and will be responsible for delivering all our consulting engagements. Your role will involve coordinating with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure successful project execution within budget and on schedule.

This position requires you to be eligible and secure US and Canadian work permits immediately after joining. CA will enable, facilitate, and pay for US and Canadian work permits that you may be required to secure; however, you need to be eligible and have all required paperwork, including a valid passport, before an offer can be extended for this position
Travel to Canada, the US, and Africa may be required from time to time.
The candidate should also be open to relocation to North America, based on the Company’s business needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Evaluate technical specifications, design requirements, and feasibility studies to ensure project viability and alignment with client expectations.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and develop appropriate corrective actions.
2. Stakeholder Management:
Establish effective communication channels with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure clear understanding of project objectives, deliverables, and expectations.
Coordinate with engineering teams, consultants, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and licenses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address stakeholder concerns, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive working relationships.
3. Resource Management:
Allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, based on project requirements and budget constraints.
Monitor resource utilization, productivity, and efficiency, implementing measures to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment, meeting project quality standards.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure that power transmission and distribution projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor construction activities, identify deviations, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Review project documentation, including technical drawings, contracts, and progress reports, to ensure accuracy and adherence to contractual obligations.
5. Project Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and submit regular progress reports, cost analysis, and project documentation to clients, management, and regulatory bodies.
Maintain accurate records of project activities, including contracts, change orders, invoices, and supplier agreements.
Create project close-out reports, conducting lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electric Power Systems, or related field. A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration is a plus.
Minimum 10 years of direct industry experience with similar projects, and on T&D projects outside of India.
- Proven experience in managing power transmission and distribution projects, preferably in the utility or energy sector, outside of India, or with top 10 consulting companies and utilities in India.
- Strong knowledge of power systems, electrical infrastructure, and related equipment.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to guide cross-functional teams and resolve conflicts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
