ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
This role sits in the heart of the Operations at Airports and Baggage portfolios. You will form part of the team that elevates the engineering function to the next level and the level after that! We have a broad range of products that our teams build and maintain, and a very complex and wide customer base. In order to keep things operating at peak efficiency, we undertake on an ongoing basis many strategic transformation projects and ad-hoc tactical projects that react to the complex environment we operate in. You will help put a consistent layer on top of all the chaos and while supporting the engineering management team consistently and methodically achieve their objectives, you will also provide the Director of Engineering and the T&E Leadership team a mechanism to track and monitor these critical projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Help manage our transformation initiatives.
- Apply a consistent approach for execution and reporting.
- Identify and track milestones, dependencies, risks and decisions.
- Ensure each project has a work breakdown structure (WBS), ensuring that no task goes unowned.
- Identify clear success criteria for each project, and clear milestones in order to track progress.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Aviation Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management.
- Communication: Sharing clear updates and listening to your team.
- Leadership: Guiding workers, building trust, and keeping everyone motivated.
- Problem-solving: Fixing sudden issues and thinking under pressure.
- Negotiation: Reaching fair agreements for the best interest of the project.
- Diligent: Highley detail oriented, ensuring projects can be decomposed to the smallest work items.
- Methodical: Knowledge of frameworks for project management, including Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, PRINCE2, Lean. Knowing when to apply them.
- Ownership: Takes extreme ownership of the goal and can inspire others to help achieve it.
