Software QA Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with 1+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating application functionality, APIs, and system integrations while ensuring software meets quality standards and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and create test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
• Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, and API testing.
• Validate APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.
• Conduct basic database validation using SQL.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
• Execute test plans and maintain testing documentation.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to improve product quality and testing processes.
• Contribute to QA best practices and continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1+ years of experience in Software QA or Testing.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case design.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to API test automation or automation testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of API security and authentication concepts.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or finance.
