Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse or hold a relevant health professional qualification with significant experience in clinical education and workforce management. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent is required, along with experience in aged or community care settings.

About the role

 

The Learning Delivery Manager (National) provides strategic and operational leadership for Calvary’s national learning delivery function, ensuring consistent, effective and sustainable education across Aged Care and Home Care. The role leads a geographically dispersed team of Clinical Educators delivering mandatory, legislated, competency-based and role-specific education aligned with quality, compliance and clinical requirements.

Working closely with Learning, Clinical Governance, Quality and Safety, People and Culture and operational leaders, the role ensures learning priorities align with organisational and workforce needs. The Learning Delivery Manager also drives quality, accountability and continuous improvement, using learner feedback, delivery data and stakeholder insights to strengthen the national learning delivery model and support workforce sustainability.

 

Your main duties will include:

  • Lead the national delivery of mandatory, legislated, competency-based and role-specific learning across Calvary’s Aged Care and Home Care services.
  • Plan and prioritise learning delivery in response to organisational priorities, regulatory and accreditation requirements, capability gaps and operational needs.
  • Lead consistent, high-quality competency-based education and assessment, including clinical competencies and Personal Care Worker skill sets.
  • Coordinate and manage national educator schedules, resource allocation and deployment across geographically dispersed services.
  • Establish and maintain consistent standards for learning delivery, facilitation and competency assessment across the national team.
  • Monitor learning data, feedback and compliance outcomes to identify risks, capability gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, Clinical Governance, Quality and Safety, People and Culture, Learning Design and subject matter experts to ensure learning solutions are relevant, effective and aligned to workforce needs.

 

About you

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing geographically dispersed learning, clinical education, training or workforce capability teams.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams through competing priorities, operational demands and organisational change.
  • Significant experience delivering education, training and competency assessment within a complex healthcare, aged care or community care environment.
  • Strong understanding of mandatory, legislated, competency-based and compliance-related learning requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, resource allocation, scheduling and managing competing operational priorities.
  • Strong commitment to quality, risk management, compliance and continuous improvement, with the ability to use data and feedback to drive outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage the operational challenges of a geographically dispersed workforce, including travel, workload, fatigue and resource sustainability.
  • Clinical experience in health, aged care or community care, with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) or demonstrated understanding of competency-based training and assessment principles.

Required

  • Registered Nurse or other relevant health professional qualification.
  • Experience working within aged care, home or community care.
  • Experience responding to accreditation, audit, quality or clinical governance requirements.
  • Experience leading a national or multi-site learning delivery function.
