Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support enterprise network infrastructure across multiple global and remote locations. This role will be responsible for maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable network environments, including routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networks, SD-WAN technologies, and cloud networking platforms.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies from Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Meraki, Check Point, and Silver Peak, along with a strong background in troubleshooting complex network issues, leading Major Incident responses, and supporting cloud-connected environments.

This role will work closely with infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations teams to ensure optimal network performance and reliability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Engineering

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites and remote locations.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures.
  • Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and internet connectivity solutions.
  • Evaluate and implement new networking technologies and best practices.
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, standards, and technical documentation.

Network Operations & Administration

  • Manage and support:
  • Routers
  • Switches
  • Firewalls
  • Wireless infrastructure
  • SD-WAN solutions
  • VPN technologies
  • Network monitoring platforms
  • Perform network configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor network health, performance, and capacity.
  • Ensure network availability and reliability across all supported environments.

Security & Connectivity

  • Configure and maintain enterprise firewalls and security appliances.
  • Support network segmentation and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate risks.
  • Manage secure site-to-site and remote access connectivity solutions.

Cloud Networking

  • Support networking components within public cloud environments, including:
  • AWS
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Configure and troubleshoot hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Support cloud-native networking services and architectures.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering teams on migrations and modernization initiatives.

Incident Management & Troubleshooting

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex network incidents.
  • Perform Level 3 and Level 4 troubleshooting across network environments.
  • Lead technical response efforts during Major Incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop permanent corrective actions.
  • Participate in after-action reviews and operational improvement initiatives.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

  • Support network automation initiatives and operational efficiencies.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for provisioning and configuration management.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining automation workflows where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of Network Engineering experience in enterprise environments.

Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting:

  • Routers
  • Switches
  • Firewalls
  • Wireless networks
  • SD-WAN solutions

Experience with several of the following technologies:

  • Palo Alto
  • Cisco
  • Fortinet
  • Meraki
  • Check Point
  • Silver Peak

Experience supporting multi-site enterprise network environments.

Strong understanding of:

  • TCP/IP
  • Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • VLANs
  • VPNs
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Experience troubleshooting complex network and connectivity issues.
  • Proven experience handling Level 3 and Level 4 network escalations.
  • Experience leading or supporting Major Incident response processes.
  • Experience supporting AWS and/or Azure networking environments.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with Cloudflare networking and security solutions.
  • Experience with cloud-native load balancing technologies.
  • Experience with:
  • AWS Load Balancers (ALB/NLB)
  • Azure Load Balancer
  • Azure Application Gateway
  • GCP Load Balancing
  • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Experience with network monitoring and observability platforms.
  • Industry certifications such as:
