About the Job
At Pilothouse, Data and Reporting Specialists are the backbone of our client performance visibility. This is not a passive reporting or entry-level data entry role. We are looking for someone who can manage complex data flows, bridge the gap between BigQuery architecture and Looker Studio dashboards, and ensure our internal teams have accurate, actionable data at all times.
You will manage a portfolio of approximately 100 Looker Studio client reports, working within our established BigQuery data warehouse and template framework.
Success in this role comes from maintaining high data integrity across a large client roster, swiftly actioning dashboard customization requests, and serving as a trusted internal advisor to account managers on platform and reporting logic.
What You'll Do
- Own the deployment, maintenance, and QA of approximately 100 Looker Studio client dashboards at any given time, based on standardized agency templates
- Action internal requests from account teams to customize reports, add new charts, or adapt metrics to align with specific client goals
- Work within our existing BigQuery architecture to update variables, manage client rosters, map new fields, and integrate new ad platforms into existing pipelines
- Serve as the primary internal contact for account managers regarding reporting logic, data anomalies, and dashboard functionality
- Proactively monitor report performance and data flows to troubleshoot bugs and continuously refine reporting efficiency
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing analytics, performance reporting, or data management
- Strong hands-on proficiency in building and maintaining dashboards in Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio)
- Solid working knowledge of Google BigQuery and SQL to update mapping, manage variables, and troubleshoot data connections
- Solid understanding of digital marketing metrics and ad platform ecosystems (Meta, Google Ads, GA4, TikTok, Amazon, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices
- Proven experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume deliverables (100+ reports) with acute attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical reporting concepts clearly to non-technical account team members
- Experience working in an agency environment or handling multi-client reporting portfolios is highly preferred
The Ideal Candidate
- You take pride in precision, speed, and clean organization.
- You can look at a broken report or a data mismatch, diagnose the root cause quickly in BigQuery or Looker Studio, and resolve it without disrupting upstream processes.
- You enjoy operating at the intersection of technical data structure and visual client presentation. You don't wait to be told when a metric looks off—you spot anomalies early, fix them, and keep account teams informed.
- Most importantly, you care about accuracy and operational reliability.
