Role Purpose

Design and implement the common automation, CI/CD, policy-as-code, testing, artifact, release, and optional GitOps capabilities supporting both AKS and ARO.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design repository, branching, promotion, approval, and release standards.
  • Develop reusable Terraform/Bicep modules and pipeline templates for platform and workload deployment.
  • Implement validation, linting, policy, vulnerability, image, manifest, and secret-scanning gates.
  • Create environment promotion, rollback, evidence collection, and drift-detection capabilities.
  • Integrate approved registries, Key Vault/secret stores, service connections, identities, and testing tools.
  • Develop Helm, Kustomize, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and golden-path deployment templates.
  • Implement optional Argo CD or Flux proof of value where approved.
  • Support upgrade, patch, application release, cutover, and recovery automation.
  • Transfer repositories and pipelines and deliver technical KT to client's team

Required Technical and Consulting Capabilities

  • Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
  • Terraform, Bicep, Helm, Kustomize and scripting
  • AKS, ARO/OpenShift and container registries
  • Argo CD/Flux and GitOps patterns
  • Trivy, Checkov, TFLint, OPA/Gatekeeper and automated test tools
  • Release management, artifact promotion and software supply-chain security

Experience Profile

  • 8+ years in DevOps/platform engineering, including 4+ years with Kubernetes/OpenShift and production CI/CD and IaC automation.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
  • CKA/CKAD/CKS
  • Red Hat OpenShift certification is preferred

Required Behaviours

  • Strong ownership, structured problem solving, and clear documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Architecture, Cybersecurity, IAM, Network, Operations, Finance, and application teams.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, fixed-timeline program with formal dependencies and acceptance evidence.
  • Ability to communicate risks early, propose practical compensating controls, and avoid unsupported commitments.
  • Commitment to knowledge transfer and transfer of administrative control to the client.

Key Deliverables and Success Measures

  • Assigned design, implementation, testing, documentation, and handover outputs are completed to agreed quality and schedule.
  • Requirements are traceable to backlog, code/configuration, tests, evidence, and acceptance.
  • Solutions comply with approved architecture, security, technology, and information-management standards.
  • Risks and dependencies are identified early and actively managed.
  • Client teams can operate and maintain the delivered capabilities following transition.

The hourly compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $75-$95 CAD.

The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.
