Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

The Contracting Project Manager will manage and execute, the provider contracting process for the networks services, which include all facilities, physicians and affiliates ("Network"), from initiation through completion. Define and execute project objectives, requirements, and scope and oversee quality control throughout the project assuring a smooth transition to production operations. Interface externally and internally related to the contracting process and reimbursement. Provide research, performs basic problem solving and responds timely and appropriately to requests for information. Responsible for database and maintenance and validation of data.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage, in close collaboration with the Associate Vice President Provider Contracts and the Provider Contracting Team (Department), the complete provider contracting process for hospital-based, on call coverage, medical directors and other administrative positions, and co-management, including but not limited to: termination letters and related correspondence, contract language and rate review as assigned, handling of all documents, including the final execution and issuance, processing electronic payment if required, and overseeing the uploading into the contract management system. Responsible for streamlining the contract processes and educating individuals on guidelines, rules and procedures. Attend meetings with various departments throughout the organization, maintains open communication and provides appropriate consultation exercising sound judgment.
  • Communicate effectively across all audiences. Efficiently transfer knowledge of business processes and requirements to project team members to satisfy the business requirements. Solves conflicts and issues in a timely manner, escalating to leader as appropriate. Resolve issues, builds relationships and provides information through establishing positive collaborative liaisons externally and internally. Interview, research, gather data, document, and analyze business requirements that can be translated into proposed solutions. Work with cross-functional stakeholders across all business units to define business needs and processes.
  • Responsible for database maintenance and validation of data, in order to manage the contracting process and pertinent information, which may include provider demographics, contracting terms, Fair Market Value (“FMV”) terms and payments, and provider payments. Contribute to ongoing development and support including governance, portfolio management and project intake, methodology, and aligns with project standards and policies.
  • Defined project management methodology, accountable for the detailed steps and resources needed to meet organizational business objectives. Prepare and execute project schedules including, timelines, internal and external communications, operational requirements, etc. Provide weekly project status reports to the stakeholders addressing project milestone status, issues and budget. Ensure all project documentation stored in MS SharePoint and contract management system.

 EDUCATION

  • Bachelors or 4 years' work related experience Required
  • Bachelors Preferred

 EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years related experience in health care, preferably working with physicians in a hospital or physician group Required
  • 5 years related experience in health care, i.e. facility and/or physician. Preferred

 LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Certified Associate In Project Mgmt Preferred
