Who you are

We're looking for people who can solve problems with heart. If you love getting to the bottom of complex challenges and want to make a real difference in people's lives, you'll thrive here. You could be a great fit if you’re:

  • A natural collaborator: You’re happy working with people across different teams, countries and cultures, building great relationships.
  • An analytical thinker: You love breaking down problems to find the cause, then solving for the better.
  • Self-motivated and driven: You take pride in your work and take ownership of what you do. You’re responsive to people’s requests and meet deadlines every time.

What you’ll do

Insurance is about trust, protection, and peace of mind. HSBC Life helps people and companies safeguard their futures. As part of the graduate programme, you’ll dive into insurance – seeing how we protect families, homes, and businesses, and always look to find ways to improve what we do.

You’ll rotate across teams, experiencing insurance from every angle. Your role is to understand how we support people and businesses – then help make it even better.

  • Working across Channel & Customer, Product Manufacturing, Operations, and Strategy, you’ll:
  • Work on transformation projects, using data to spot trends and shape decisions.
  • Learn how to design customer-first insurance products and journeys.
  • Gain hands-on experience in problem-solving, issue management, and creating solutions.

What you’ll learn

We’ll give you the skills to become an insurance expert who really understands people. You’ll get technical training, mentoring, and hands-on experience, plus access to HSBC’s global learning platforms.

You’ll benefit from:

  • On-the-ground experience: Rotate across different teams to gain broad exposure.
  • Expert-led training: Learn from leaders inside and outside HSBC.
