This position reports to:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.

There is a strong preferance for candidates located in California that will work remotely. Additionally, if someone is located in the Western US (Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, western Texas) they will also be considered for this position. #LI-Remote

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Business Field preferred) and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience; or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
  • Project management experience required (PMP certification preferred).
  • Strong communicator and team-oriented mind set.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong reputation for customer focus.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP (SAP preferred), MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other office software.
  • Must be able to read Engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment.
  • Maintain high standards for safety and housekeeping and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $100,500 and $160,800 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
