About the Opportunity

The company is looking for a Mid-Level Manual QA Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of its real-time web platform and multiplayer trading products. Operating at the intersection of gaming and financial technology, the team develops applications where performance, responsiveness, and accuracy are critical.

This is a hands-on testing role suited to someone who enjoys uncovering edge cases, improving product quality, and working closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in manual and automation quality assurance for modern web applications
  • Strong background in creating test cases and executing structured test plans from user stories and functional specifications
  • Experience with Playwright and/or other automation frameworks
  • Good understanding of client-server architecture, HTTP, REST APIs, and browser debugging tools
  • Experience testing real-time or event-driven applications
  • Hands-on testing experience across major browsers and multiple screen sizes
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience in gaming, trading platforms, or fintech products
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and the ability to inspect JSON responses
  • Basic understanding of performance testing and client-side monitoring
  • Experience working with issue tracking systems and CI/CD-driven release workflows

Key Responsibilities

Manual and Automation Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing across web applications and real-time platform features
  • Develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and checklists based on product requirements and user flows
  • Validate real-time functionality, including WebSocket communication, live data updates, and latency-sensitive interactions
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing for responsive web applications as well as native iOS and Android apps
  • Verify analytics implementations and ensure complete end-to-end user journeys function as expected

Defect Management & Collaboration

  • Report well-documented defects with detailed reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, and supporting evidence
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria
  • Participate in release validation activities, including smoke testing, sanity testing, and post-release verification
  • Maintain organized testing documentation with clear traceability between requirements and executed test cases

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute ideas to improve QA processes and overall product quality
  • Support the team's automation initiatives by collaborating with the QA Automation Engineer when appropriate
