1 x Permanent Full Time Role and 2 x Temporary Full Time Roles till 30 June 2027

$205,590 salary package - includes base salary $181,324, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The Project Manager position is responsible for leading the planning, organisation and control of significant complex projects and sub projects spanning the full continuum of initiation/design and implementation in relation to designated business strategies to meet project objectives, and enable TAFE NSW to achieve its strategic goals, business benefits and outcomes.

We currently have one Permanent full-time role and two temporary full-time roles (till 30 June 2027) available. In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the Position Description, the key responsibilities for each role are detailed below:

1. Project Manager - Permanent Full time 

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex Digital projects ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, to quality standards, and aligned to strategic business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, project teams and key stakeholders, providing clear communication, governance, reporting and proactive management of risks, issues and project dependencies.
  • Lead cross-functional and matrix teams, coordinate project resources, and foster a collaborative environment that enables successful delivery, continuous improvement and achievement of key business benefits.

2. EBS Decommissioning Project Manager - Temporary Full Time role till 30 June 2027

  • Dependency mapping across upstream / downstream systems, integrations and interfaces
  • Coordinate data retention, archiving and disposal in line with record management requirements
  • Manage vendor and contract exit tied to the legacy platform

3. Manager Services Project Manager - Temporary Full Time role till 30 June 2027

  • Delivery of SASE-aligned network foundational services transformation to enable exit from legacy data centres
  • Drive preparation of the business to transition into a managed services operating model by supporting internal team to execute readiness uplift roadmap, process and data improvements and support MSP business case and sourcing.
  • Understanding of the Treasury approval process and NSW Digital Assurance Framework.

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will have: - 

  • Degree qualification in project management/ related field or equivalent significant experience.
  • Strong experience in all phases of project management from design to implementation and evaluation within a complex service delivery environment.
  • Significant record of achievement delivering complex business focused (non-technology based) projects to achieve business or operational related objectives.
  • Demonstrated high level stakeholder management skills to positively engage and collaborate on project activities.

For the Project Manager permanent full time role, we are looking for an experienced project manager with a proven track record delivering complex digital transformation and organisational change projects from initiation through to implementation. You will have strong project governance, planning and risk management experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities, dependencies and project impacts across multiple workstreams. You are an exceptional communicator who can build trusted relationships and engage effectively with senior executives, business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to successfully deliver strategic business outcomes.

For the EBS Decommissioning Project Manager temporary full time role till 30 June 2027, we are looking for a project manager with critical technology platform decommissioning, cutover and data archival/ retrieval experience. You can manage dependency and impact widely and can engage effectively with wide group of stakeholders from cross functional background and different technical knowledge.

For the Manager Service Project Manager temporary full time role till 30 June 2027, you will have experience and working knowledge in network transformation, managed services concept, operating model transformation and change management experience alongside technical delivery. Business case development and RFP experiences are also preferred.
